Excalibur Gondola on Whistler/Blackcomb Collapses
Written by Tyler on December 16th, 2008It seems in the most up-to-date news about Whistler/Blackcomb is that the Excalibur Gondola has had a cable snap and a tower is now currently leaning. A tower before Base 2 on Blackcomb has collapsed which has left passengers of the Excalibur Gondola trapped as rescue crews try to free people.
This is not the new Peak2Peak Gondola that carries people between Whistler and Blackcomb. The Excalibur Gondola takes people up from Whistler Village to Base 2 and up to the Excellerator Express chair on Blackcomb.

Hopefully the trapped people will be rescued quickly without incident. Currently no one has been hurt.
