Those snowy mountains are breathtakingly beautiful. My husband and I are attempting to step outside of our naturally sunny, tropical backgrounds from Miami and Panama City Beach Florida to actually delve into the cooler, snowy side of life.

We are looking to plan a trip to Colorado this winter, where we will soon experience our first exposure to skiing.

It should be very interesting. Hopefully, we won't look like fish out of water with our gear.

We're hitting either Cypress or Whistler tomorrow. Whistler if it's sunny (we dont want a repeat of the whiteout) or Cypress if its cloudy. :)

Tawcan that's cool, yea it was sure difficult to stay balanced in white out, not being able to see the contours of the terrain. Was fun nonetheless!

On Sat we tried finding a backcountry hut in the whiteout. Since we didn't have a GPS, map & compass came in handy.

Skiing in a whiteout is always a challenge. When we got to the hut we went for a couple run. With snow blowing on our faces and the semi-whiteout it was hard to see the small features on the slope. We ripped down the ~32 degree slope and we all ended up bailing left right & centre due to the poor visibility. It was a different story when it was clear on Sun. :)
